Mash Bill: Floor malted 6 row Lebanese barley that has been sun dried.

Aging: Minimum 8 years in Lebanese clay terracotta vats with cured Lebanese oak (Quercus Libani).

Vat Size: From 120 L to 180 L

Barrel entry: 63% Alcohol by volume

Average angel’s share: 1-2% alcohol by volume per year.

Average bottling strength: 51 – 56.5% Alcohol by volume.

Distillation: Double distilled in an 1800 L copper pot – gooseneck still that has a 47 m long copper coil condenser.

Batch size: From 100 to 900 bottles

Packaging: 700 ml square decanter in wood frame.

Description:

Athyr is the first Lebanese single malt whisky. It’s made from Lebanese malted barley and aged in Lebanese oak using clay terracotta vats, which is the traditional method of aging spirits in Lebanon. Athyr has a deep amber color with intense wood notes that are complemented with herbaceous and

fruit notes that are imbued from the fruity wash of the Lebanese malt.

Notes: oak, vanilla, coffee, toffee, carob molasses, caramel, dehydrated yellow fruits, black tea, green tea.
