Description
Syrah is a mysterious grape variety with countless myths that speculate its origin, the Persians claim it their own and say it originated in Shiraz, the French say its indigenous to the Rhone region, the Phoenicians claim to have exported it to Marseille, the Romans say that its home is in Syracuse.
The reason behind all those myths regarding its origin is because Syrah is the undisputed king of noble red wine grapes, characterized by strength of body, complexity, and a long aging potential.
This is not a red wine for the masses, it is reserved for those who appreciate and savor finesse and complexity. Its personality is balanced with expressions of red fruits, dates and floral aromas and roasted notes of coffee, dark chocolate, and frankincense. It is best paired with game or savored on its own at a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.
